The US blockade imposed on Cuba has never been simply a series of sanctions. The blockade was the name of a comprehensive attack plan carried out by the US to subdue a people who refused to abandon socialism through deception and force. The United States did not merely ban U.S.-based companies from engaging in trade with Cuba, an independent and sovereign nation with the right to trade with other countries; it also threatened the entire world with massive sanctions, thereby almost completely preventing the establishment of economic, financial, and commercial relations with Cuba.<\/p>\n

The executive order signed by US President Trump on January 30 takes this despicable imperialist strategy to a whole new level. This is the latest act of banditry by lawless imperialists seeking to bring Cuba down!<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The picture we have witnessed in recent days is, in the clearest terms, a struggle between two systems. A collapsed and rotten social system is attacking an egalitarian social system, humanity’s only hope for the future; this time, perhaps using one of their last remaining powerful weapons to achieve the goals they have failed to reach through various means over the years.<\/p>\n

The Cuban people, however, are standing tall and resisting, mobilizing all their resources to repel this attack.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The socialist Cuba built by this hardworking and courageous people has been a source of hope, courage, and morale for working people around the world and in our country for years. Its historical leaders and revolutionary figures have inspired our struggle. Now is the time to show that we stand with Cuba, with the Cuban people who are facing an attack that amounts to genocide.<\/p>\n

The Cuban people’s resistance, sustained by their determination for socialism, their love for their homeland, and their devotion to independence, will not be in vain. Their friends will always stand by their side in this struggle.<\/p>\n

The United States and its allies who have joined in this blockade will be held accountable for the crimes they have committed against the Cuban people and all humanity.<\/p>\n

Imperialism will inevitably be defeated. The Cuban people will prevail.<\/p>\n

UU. ha intentado someter, con enga\u00f1os y por la fuerza, a un pueblo que no renuncia al socialismo. Estados Unidos no solo prohibi\u00f3 las relaciones con Cuba \u2014un pa\u00eds independiente y soberano que tiene derecho a comerciar con otros\u2014 para las empresas de origen estadounidense, sino que, amenazando a todo el mundo con enormes sanciones, ha impedido casi por completo que se establezcan relaciones econ\u00f3micas, financieras y comerciales con Cuba.<\/p>\n

El decreto firmado por el presidente estadounidense Trump el 30 de enero significa llevar esta despreciable estrategia del imperialismo a otro nivel. \u00a1Es la \u00faltima fechor\u00eda a la que recurren unos imperialistas sin reglas para hacer caer a Cuba!<\/p>\n

El panorama que presenciamos en los \u00faltimos d\u00edas es, en su expresi\u00f3n m\u00e1s clara, la lucha entre dos sistemas. Un sistema social colapsado y corrompido ataca a un sistema social igualitario que representa la \u00fanica esperanza de futuro para la humanidad; para alcanzar sus objetivos, que no han logrado durante a\u00f1os por distintas v\u00edas, esta vez quiz\u00e1 est\u00e9n utilizando una de las armas m\u00e1s poderosas que les queda.<\/p>\n

El pueblo cubano, por su parte, resiste con la cabeza bien alta y moviliza todos sus recursos para repeler tambi\u00e9n este ataque.<\/p>\n

La Cuba socialista construida por este pueblo trabajador y valiente ha sido durante a\u00f1os una esperanza, una fuente de coraje y de moral para los pueblos trabajadores del mundo y tambi\u00e9n de nuestro pa\u00eds. Con sus l\u00edderes hist\u00f3ricos y sus figuras revolucionarias ha inspirado nuestra lucha. Ahora es el momento de mostrar que estamos y estaremos junto a esa Cuba, junto al pueblo cubano que hace frente a una agresi\u00f3n de car\u00e1cter genocida.<\/p>\n

La resistencia que el pueblo cubano mantiene con su empe\u00f1o socialista, su amor por la patria y su apego a la independencia no quedar\u00e1 sin resultados. En esta lucha, sus amigos siempre estar\u00e1n a su lado.<\/p>\n
