On the 67th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution, we extend our revolutionary greetings to the people of Cuba, on behalf of our Party and the working class of Turkey.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
We have always emphasised that revolution is not a dream to be enjoyed once achieved, but a demanding and continuous process of struggle, carried on day after day.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
This has also been the case for the Cuban Revolution, carried forward with modest resources shaped by centuries of colonial domination and forged in the immediate vicinity of US imperialism.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
No one should be misled by the vitality and optimism that have become part of the character of the Cuban people. The Cuban Revolution has reached its 67th year through uninterrupted struggle: against imperialist terrorist attacks that have claimed the lives of thousands of Cubans; against policies of threat, pressure and blackmail; against deliberately constructed campaigns of lies and slander; and against the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed since the earliest days of the Revolution \u2014 a blockade that constitutes a crime against humanity.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The achievements secured through this unbroken struggle undoubtedly inspire people across the world. What is truly inspiring, however, is the Cuban people\u2019s courage, which has never been broken.
\nTo persist in struggle in a world ruled by exploitation and coercion, where injustice is treated as normal, requires courage.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
To raise the banner of socialism in an era in which independence and sovereignty are dismissed as obsolete, freedom reduced to illusion, democracy emptied of meaning, and equality erased even from political discourse, requires courage.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
To challenge a dominant value system that equates power with legitimacy, and to do so from a principled moral and political position, requires courage.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
To place confidence in the organised unity of a modest people in the face of imperialism\u2019s immense power requires courage.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The people of Cuba continue to uphold all the values of their Revolution with courage, despite the increasingly aggressive and cynical attacks of imperialism.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Our Party stands alongside the courageous people of Cuba and their revolutionary leadership as they enter the new year under conditions of serious difficulty, but with determination. The economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on the Cuban people must be lifted immediately. Cuba\u2019s inclusion on the so-called list of \u201cstate sponsors of terrorism\u201d, used to legitimise this criminal policy, must be brought to an end without delay.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
On this anniversary of the Revolution, we extend our fraternal greetings to the people of Cuba and declare that the Communist Party of Turkey will continue, in the year ahead, to stand in solidarity with the Cuban people and their revolutionary leadership.<\/p>\n

Pero lo verdaderamente inspirador es la valent\u00eda inquebrantable del pueblo cubano.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n En un mundo donde reinan la explotaci\u00f3n y la tiran\u00eda, y se normaliza la injusticia, la perseverancia en la lucha requiere valent\u00eda.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n En una \u00e9poca donde la independencia y la soberan\u00eda se consideran arcaicas, donde la libertad se ha convertido en una ilusi\u00f3n, la democracia en una mentira y el ideal de la igualdad ni siquiera se menciona, enarbolar la bandera del socialismo requiere valent\u00eda.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Es valent\u00eda desafiar el mundo de valores dominante, donde el poder equipara con la leg\u00edtimidad, con una moral sofisticada.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Es valent\u00eda optar por confiar en la unidad organizada del pueblo humilde frente al poder inconmensurable del imperialismo.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n El pueblo cubano contin\u00faa defendiendo con valent\u00eda todas las virtudes de la revoluci\u00f3n frente a los ataques cada vez m\u00e1s viles del imperialismo.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Nuestro partido apoya al valiente pueblo cubano y a su liderazgo revolucionario, quienes afrontan el nuevo a\u00f1o con grandes desaf\u00edos, pero tambi\u00e9n con una lucha decidida.
