For more than sixty years, you have sought to suffocate socialist Cuba through economic, commercial, and financial blockade.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Systematically, you have carried out one of the most despicable assaults in modern history. You have targeted an entire people with methods that have no place even under the laws of war.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
You attempted to starve the Cuban people. You then cynically tried to use the suffering caused by the deprivation you imposed as propaganda\u2014under the banner of \u201chumanitarian aid\u201d\u2014to justify foreign intervention in Cuba.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
You have funneled millions of dollars to counterrevolutionaries. When this failed, you resorted to distorting reality through every possible means. You unleashed provocations and manipulations to incite the Cuban people against their revolution. Through smear campaigns, you tried to cast a shadow over the most vibrant and creative living example of socialism.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
And yet, none of it worked. You have never achieved your absolute victory.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The Cuban Revolution may now be passing through one of its most fragile periods. A well-educated and dedicated leadership\u2014fully aware that Cuba has no future outside socialism\u2014may be compelled to make temporary concessions to the market. Among a people forced to withstand an assault of near-genocidal intensity, there may be those whose strength falters, who grow weary.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
But if you believe these to be signs of your final triumph, you are gravely mistaken.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
For decades, from the summit of the imperialist system, you have drenched the world in blood\u2014through your own military or through your terror organisation, NATO. Do not be deceived by the long trail of invasions and massacres. None went unanswered. Each time, working class patriots and communists rose against you.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Yet Cuba stands apart.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The Cuban people are organized. They carry the legacy of a leadership that foiled more than 600 assassination attempts. They are the parents of sons and daughters whom you imprisoned for years but never forced into betraying their homeland. They see life through a system of values utterly foreign\u2014and fundamentally opposed\u2014to yours. They act with a level of moral integrity, collective unity, creative intelligence, and revolutionary resolve that you cannot comprehend.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Do you truly underestimate this \u201cworthless,\u201d as you would call it, wealth? Is this the source of your confidence as you tighten your grip around Cuba in the Caribbean?<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
If you insist that socialism has failed in Cuba\u2026<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Then lift the blockade\u2014let socialism compete with your system on equal ground.
\nLift the blockade\u2014let the Cuban people decide their future free from economic coercion.<\/p>\n

We, the true and steadfast friends of Cuba, will continue to confront you\u2014not only for your interference in our country and the region, but for the crimes you have committed against Cuba, a treasure of all humanity.<\/p>\n

TO THE CUBAN PEOPLE<\/b><\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
For a Cuban, to be an internationalist is to repay one\u2019s debt to humanity. For us, one of the first duties of internationalism is to repay our debt to the Cuban Revolution and to you, the Cuban people.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
At the heart of this debt lies the historic responsibility placed upon your shoulders: to keep socialism alive against the full weight of the imperialist system. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the Cuban Revolution was forced to bear this burden largely alone. Since then, it has become an enduring source of inspiration, confidence, and hard-earned lessons for revolutionaries across the world.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
With extraordinarily limited resources, Cuba has done far more than could ever be expected\u2014standing in solidarity with struggles for equality and independence in the most vulnerable regions of the world, and fighting disease and epidemics that most afflict the poor people around the world.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
We are profoundly grateful for all that the Cuban people have done for humanity through immense sacrifice.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
For the past 35 years, the working-class movement and communist forces worldwide have failed to exert sufficient weight to alter the balance of power in the world. We approach our solidarity with Cuba with this reality in mind. Each moment we fail to break Cuba\u2019s isolation, our debt grows\u2014toward a people who shoulder, on behalf of all humanity, the responsibility of defending a living socialist project.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
But the Cuban people are not alone. Our struggle for socialism in our own country, our resistance to imperialism, and our solidarity with Cuba form a single, inseparable whole with your struggle to defend socialism.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
They attempt to weaken this solidarity by claiming that the Cuban people will abandon resistance. Only those who do not truly know your organization, resilience, and creativity could take such claims seriously. That is why one of our duties is to tell the truth about Cuba to our own people. We are doing so\u2014and we will continue to do so.<\/p>\n

We trust you.<\/p>\n

As long as the Cuban people persist in their commitment to socialism, we will defend Cuba to the very end.<\/p>\n

Much has been written and said about Cuba.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
For over sixty years, the natural consequences of the U.S. blockade have been used as a tool of disinformation against the Cuban socialist experience. This black propaganda\u2014fed by imperialist centers\u2014has at times spilled into our own country, amplified by anti-communist and liberal circles.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The hardships created by the blockade have been cynically presented as \u201cproof\u201d that socialism is doomed to fail.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
We invite you to look at this from the opposite perspective: How is it that the so-called \u201csuperpower\u201d at the summit of the imperialist system has failed for over sixty years to bring a small island nation to its knees? How is it that, despite deploying every possible method, it is still forced to coexist\u2014right at its doorstep\u2014with its own living contradiction: a socialist country? Despite the staggering military, economic, and commercial asymmetry between the two, how does Cuba remain standing?<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
These are the real questions.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
We know the imperialist system possesses resources and capabilities far beyond those of Cuba. So where does Cuba\u2019s strength come from?<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
From its organized society. From its trusted and capable leadership. From the anger it keeps alive against U.S. imperialism\u2014and from its unbreakable will to struggle. From the historical and moral superiority of the socialism it refuses to abandon.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
A people armed with such strength is not easily defeated. That is precisely why the U.S. blockade continues its assault with the most disgraceful methods.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Depriving the country of food, medicine, and basic necessities; forcing its people into hunger; sabotaging its trade routes to block access to technology and energy; obstructing development; and coercing other countries through threats and blackmail to cut ties with Cuba\u2014these crimes are permanently etched into the anti-people record of the United States.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Any assessment of Cuba\u2019s socialist construction must begin with this brutal reality of the blockade.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Despite relentless propaganda in the world, it is encouraging that many in our country approach the lies about Cuba with skepticism and hold deep respect and curiosity toward it. No amount of slander has been able to erase the sympathy felt for a people who dare to defy imperialism.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
At a time when Cuba faces extraordinary hardship, the moment has come to transform this sympathy into real, material solidarity\u2014through political struggle, public communication, and concrete material support.<\/p>\n

Sobre el Bloqueo contra Cuba<\/strong><\/p>\n A LA ADMINISTRACI\u00d3N ESTADOUNIDENSE<\/strong><\/p>\n Durante m\u00e1s de 60 a\u00f1os, han intentado estrangular a la Cuba socialista con un bloqueo econ\u00f3mico, comercial y financiero.<\/p>\n Lanzaron sistem\u00e1ticamente uno de los ataques m\u00e1s viles de la historia de la humanidad. Atacaron a un pueblo con m\u00e9todos que no tienen fundamento ni siquiera en las leyes de la guerra.<\/p>\n Intentaron matar de hambre a los cubanos. Propagaron las reacciones provocadas por las privaciones que causaron como justificaci\u00f3n para la intervenci\u00f3n extranjera en Cuba bajo el pretexto de “ayuda humanitaria”.<\/p>\n Distribuyeron millones de d\u00f3lares a contrarrevolucionarios. Sin \u00e9xito, intentaron por todos los medios distorsionar la realidad sobre Cuba. Recurrieron a diversas provocaciones y manipulaciones para incitar al pueblo cubano contra la revoluci\u00f3n. Con campa\u00f1as de desprestigio, intentaron ensombrecer el ejemplo m\u00e1s creativo del socialismo y la lucha decidida de un pueblo digno.<\/p>\n Hicieron lo que pudieron hacer, y fracasaron; no pudieron lograr la victoria absoluta.<\/p>\n La Revoluci\u00f3n Cubana podr\u00eda estar atravesando un per\u00edodo m\u00e1s fr\u00e1gil que nunca. Su liderazgo, bien formado y dedicado, consciente de que el pa\u00eds no tiene otro futuro que el socialismo, podr\u00eda verse obligado a hacer concesiones coyunturales ante la econom\u00eda de mercado. Ante la responsabilidad de soportar un ataque grave y genocida, algunos miembros del pueblo cubano podr\u00edan volverse cada vez m\u00e1s agotados y menos resiliente.<\/p>\n Pero si creen que esto es un indicio de c\u00f3mo se desarrollar\u00e1 esta lucha implacable, se equivocan.<\/p>\n No se dejen enga\u00f1ar por el hecho de que durante las d\u00e9cadas que ostentaron la c\u00faspide del sistema imperialista, ustedes personalmente, con su ej\u00e9rcito yanqui o su organizaci\u00f3n terrorista, las fuerzas de la OTAN, han infligido un derramamiento de sangre a pueblos de todo el mundo mediante invasiones y masacres. Por supuesto, ninguno de estos intentos qued\u00f3 sin respuesta; patriotas y comunistas se opusieron a ustedes en todo momento.<\/p>\n Sin embargo, Cuba tiene una diferencia fundamental: el pueblo cubano est\u00e1 organizado. Nosotros, los verdaderos y leales amigos de Cuba, continuaremos con prioridad nuestra lucha contra ustedes, no solo por su intervenci\u00f3n en nuestro pa\u00eds y regi\u00f3n, sino tambi\u00e9n por los cr\u00edmenes que han cometido contra Cuba, el preciado tesoro de la humanidad.<\/p>\n *<\/p>\n AL PUEBLO CUBANO<\/strong><\/p>\n Para un cubano, ser internacionalista significa saldar su deuda con la humanidad. La Revoluci\u00f3n Cubana, que se vio obligada en gran medida a asumir esta carga en solitario tras el colapso de la Uni\u00f3n Sovi\u00e9tica, es una fuente de inspiraci\u00f3n y fe, llena de importantes lecciones para los revolucionarios de todo el mundo. Cada vez que no logramos romper la soledad de la Revoluci\u00f3n Cubana, se multiplica nuestra deuda con el pueblo cubano, que ha asumido la responsabilidad de sostener y defender una experiencia viva del socialismo en nombre de toda la humanidad.<\/p>\n Por supuesto, el pueblo cubano no est\u00e1 solo en esta lucha. Nuestra lucha por instaurar el socialismo en nuestro pa\u00eds y contra el imperialismo, junto con nuestra solidaridad con Cuba, es fundamental para la lucha del pueblo cubano por defender el socialismo.<\/p>\n Intentan socavar esta solidaridad afirmando que el pueblo cubano ceder\u00e1 en la resistencia. A pesar de recurrir a todos los m\u00e9todos disponibles, se ve obligado a convivir con un pa\u00eds socialista que es su ant\u00edtesis justo al lado.<\/p>\n \u00bfC\u00f3mo sobrevive Cuba a pesar de la enorme asimetr\u00eda entre estos dos pa\u00edses en las esferas militar, productiva y comercial?<\/p>\n Estas son las preguntas que realmente necesitan ser planteadas y respondidas.<\/p>\n Sabemos que el sistema imperialista posee recursos y capacidades de los que Cuba carece. Entonces, \u00bfde d\u00f3nde proviene el poder de Cuba?<\/p>\n De su sociedad organizada. De su liderazgo fuerte y confiable. De su incansable ira y determinaci\u00f3n para luchar contra el imperialismo estadounidense. De su insistencia en la superioridad hist\u00f3rica y moral del socialismo.<\/p>\n Derrotar a un pueblo que posee esta superioridad no es f\u00e1cil, y por eso el bloqueo estadounidense contin\u00faa atacando a Cuba con los m\u00e9todos m\u00e1s deshonrosos.<\/p>\n Intentar debilitar al pa\u00eds priv\u00e1ndolo de suministros esenciales, especialmente alimentos y medicinas, sometiendo a su poblaci\u00f3n a la hambruna, socavando sus canales comerciales y limitando su acceso a la tecnolog\u00eda y la energ\u00eda, obstaculizando su desarrollo e impidiendo que otros pa\u00edses comercien con Cuba mediante amenazas y chantajes son algunos de estos m\u00e9todos, y est\u00e1n grabados para siempre en el historial de Estados Unidos como enemigo del pueblo.<\/p>\n Al evaluar el proceso de construcci\u00f3n del socialismo en Cuba, no se deben olvidar las realidades de este bloqueo.<\/p>\n Afortunadamente, a pesar de toda la contrapropaganda, muchas personas desconf\u00edan de las mentiras sobre Cuba y sienten un gran respeto y curiosidad por ella. Por mucho que la denigren, no pueden borrar la compasi\u00f3n que sienten por este valiente pueblo que se enfrenta al socialismo y a Estados Unidos.<\/p>\n Mientras Cuba atraviesa un per\u00edodo muy dif\u00edcil, es el momento de transformar esta compasi\u00f3n en una solidaridad real y concreta.
