A new phase of imperialist aggression against Latin America is unfolding through the U.S.-orchestrated threats directed at Venezuela\u2014military escalation, attempts at economic strangulation, and preparations for direct intervention. For years, the imperialist actors have targeted the Venezuelan people\u2019s independence and sovereignty, employing every tool available to them. Embargoes, coup attempts, acts of sabotage, and far-reaching propaganda operations have all been components of a sustained and comprehensive assault. The current escalation of military tension in the region is nothing but the latest extension of these sordid policies.<\/p>\n

In this context, following the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration\u2019s announcement designating Venezuelan airspace as a \u201cpotential hazard,\u201d it must be noted that Turkish Airlines\u2014alongside several international carriers\u2014has suspended its flights to Caracas. This decision places Turkish Airlines in alignment with the ongoing pressure campaign designed to isolate the Venezuelan people and deepen Venezuela\u2019s economic hardship. Such complicity with imperialist tactics cannot be overlooked.<\/p>\n

At a moment when U.S. aggression and blackmail have intensified to their peak, we reaffirm a simple fact: Washington\u2019s threats of intervention in Venezuela constitute a flagrant violation of international law. No imperialist power has the legitimacy to interfere in the internal affairs of another country, nor to forcibly impose its political will or social preferences. The Communist Party of Turkey stands in unconditional solidarity with the Venezuelan people in the face of these escalating threats.<\/p>\n

El pueblo de Venezuela no est\u00e1 solo<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Las amenazas contra Venezuela provenientes de Estados Unidos, el despliegue militar, los intentos de asedio econ\u00f3mico y los preparativos para una intervenci\u00f3n directa constituyen una nueva fase de la ofensiva del imperialismo contra Am\u00e9rica Latina. Los centros imperialistas llevan a\u00f1os atacando la independencia y la soberan\u00eda del pueblo venezolano y han puesto en marcha todo tipo de mecanismos para ello, aplicando una pol\u00edtica de agresi\u00f3n que abarca desde embargos hasta intentos de golpe, desde sabotajes hasta operaciones de propaganda. La escalada militar que hoy se vive en la regi\u00f3n es la prolongaci\u00f3n natural de estas pol\u00edticas sucias.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n En los \u00faltimos d\u00edas, tras la advertencia de la Administraci\u00f3n Federal de Aviaci\u00f3n de Estados Unidos sobre un \u201cpeligro potencial\u201d en el espacio a\u00e9reo venezolano, no debe pasar desapercibido que Turkish Airlines, al igual que muchas otras aerol\u00edneas internacionales, tambi\u00e9n haya cancelado sus vuelos a Caracas. A trav\u00e9s de Turkish Airlines se est\u00e1 contribuyendo a las pol\u00edticas de presi\u00f3n destinadas a aislar al pueblo venezolano a nivel internacional y a agravar a\u00fan m\u00e1s la situaci\u00f3n econ\u00f3mica del pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n En estos d\u00edas, en los que la agresividad y el chantaje de Estados Unidos alcanzan su punto m\u00e1ximo, volvemos a subrayarlo: las amenazas de intervenci\u00f3n de Estados Unidos contra Venezuela constituyen una violaci\u00f3n flagrante del derecho internacional. Ninguna potencia imperialista tiene legitimidad para injerir en los asuntos internos de otro pa\u00eds ni para intentar, mediante la fuerza, alterar su voluntad pol\u00edtica y sus decisiones sociales.
