To the Friends of the TKP,<\/b><\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The party you have known, supported, sought guidance from in dark times, respected, and sometimes stood firmly behind\u2014the party of this land, the Communist Party of Turkey (TKP)\u2014turns 105 today!<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
TKP was born at a great and historic turning point: a time when the decayed and rotten old world was collapsing with unprecedented force, and humanity was rising to its feet.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Not only in Turkey, but across the world, the oppressed and exploited were sweeping away everything belonging to the old order, laying the foundations of a new, dignified social system across vast lands.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
In Turkey, the revolutionary movement had become the sibling of the October Revolution, standing on the same front. Together we struck a great and unforgettable blow against imperialism, the Ottoman sultanate that served it, and the reactionary forces of the region. It was in those days that TKP stepped forward with the consciousness and courage of standing on the right side of history. From that day to this, it has been the mind and conscience of the people.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
We tore apart the straitjacket they tried to force on our people. We refused to recognize the borders they drew. We rejected the social system they deemed fit for us. We never accepted being subjects, disciples, puppets, or slaves in chains. We fought\u2014and we won. And through the blood and sweat of our people, we reached a secular and independent Turkey, where our vision of a Socialist future could take root.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
They never forgot the blow they received. They never accepted the Republic and the society it created. From the very first day, they waited for their chance. They planted the seeds of counter-revolution in the heart of the revolution and lay in ambush.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
And now, the counter-revolution has long since risen from that ambush. The Republic has already been dismantled\u2014by imperialism, monopolies and religious sects.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
That is why, dear friends,
\nJust as 100 years ago, today too the pieces are falling into place, the lines are becoming clear. We call on you to take your place on the right side of history\u2014without delay\u2014by joining the Communist Party of Turkey.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
A system free of exploitation and inequality.
\nAn independent and sovereign country.
\nA planned and state-led economy.
\nA secular social system.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
This is the Socialist Republic\u2014the very idea they cannot even bear to hear!
\nWe will defend it, and we will raise our country once more on this foundation.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The TKP, the mind and conscience of the working people, must grow stronger and larger.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Organize, so that<\/b>
\nThose who betray our people never see the light of day.<\/p>\n
Organize, so that<\/b>
\nThe ambitions of those who still cannot forget the blow they received 100 years ago remain forever frustrated.<\/p>\n
Organize, so that<\/b>
\nWe may rebuild the Republic on a socialist foundation\u2014this time so strong it can never be torn down again.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Turkey deserves this.
\nWe need to work, to unite, to struggle.
\nAnd we do not have much time.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
If humanity, our country, and our people are to have a future\u2026
\nThat future is called socialism.<\/b><\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
