Its indeed very alarming that Turkey is quite fast evolving on the path of Pakistan. The consistent  hard struggle of the working people and CP of Turkey finally triumphed in eliminating the military controlled democratic dictatorship but the decades long wider space created intentionally  for the religious fascists forces paved the way for the reincarnation of imperialist capitalist stooge satrap Erdogan to power. Dear Comrades for 60 years Pakistan has been instrumental against Soviet Union and its allies, safeguarding the interests of the western and American capitalism imperialism where religion was used is the prime most effective tool. For this very purpose a vast infrastructure of religious sectarian and jihadism  was laid down through out each corner of Pakistan. Before these factories had to start its own yield of jihadi terrorism, gangs of murderers, terrorists were recruited from all over the world to topple the legitimate proletarian government in Afghanistan. This civil war is sustained alive even till date in order to not allow class struggle to take root in. The gradual transformation drive of the Turkish government to imitate Pakistan is in indeed very shocking and profoundly distasteful for us.<\/div>\n

As international capitalist system is quick in taking over the world\u2019s resources, commodities prices are increasing, jobs are diminishing, working hours are expanding and wages are shrinking along with the curtailing of the education, health and social securities. At this point to muzzle the organized resistance by the people against capitalist barbarism, racism, sectarianism, religious fanaticism and regressive obscurant ideals are promoted and promulgated among the masses in order to compromise the class identity of the society at large. The crisis of capitalism is not over. The acceleration of the process for the regroupment of the labour movement, the social alliance with the self-employed and the small and medium sized peasants remains a crucial issue; likewise the effectiveness of the ideological struggle in order to weaken bourgeois concepts and strike a blow at the opportunist and reformist forces.<\/div>\n
As Nazim Hikmet wrote \u201cWe have a centuries-old impetus\u2026 We will emerge victorious even if our sacrifices are great.\u201d This rotten world \u201cthis pirate ship, will sink – come hell or high water, it will sink. And we will build a world as hopeful, free\u201d<\/div>\n

The Workers Party of Ireland sends warm comradely greetings to the Communist Party of Turkey on the occasion of its Conference on the 15th-16th September 2018 in Izmir under the theme \u201cTo the Workers\u201d and sends its congratulations and best wishes to the TKP, the oldest party in Turkey, on the occasion of its 98th anniversary.<\/div>\n
The Communist Party of Turkey is a symbol of hope for the Turkish working class, a party that approaches the issues confronting contemporary Turkey from the perspective of the working people. The TKP, proceeding under the slogan \u201cthis social order must change\u201d recognises that the struggle against the US imperialism cannot be separated from struggle against the current social order.<\/div>\n
In addition to the struggle to defend and advance the achievements of the working class and the poor and the resistance against the assaults of capital against labour the TKP confronts the growth of Islamic fundamentalism, obscurantism and reaction and the increasing oppressive influence of religion in the areas of education, culture and law.<\/div>\n
As the TKP has repeatedly pointed out the struggle against imperialism, reactionary forces, authoritarianism, tyranny and fascism and the struggle against exploitation, inequalities and for social injustice cannot be separated from one another and must be viewed from the class perspective.<\/div>\n
The Workers Party of Ireland declares its solidarity with the Communist Party of Turkey which represents the interests of the working class and defends workers\u2019 and people\u2019s rights and salutes the militants and supporters of the TKP which unambiguously promotes the socialist alternative. We are confident that the outcome of the Conference will strengthen and consolidate the TKP through its organisational measures and advance the struggle to increase the influence of the working class and orient it to the goal of socialism.<\/div>\n
