On behalf of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Turkey, I am saluting you with fraternity and sharing with you the militant greetings of your comrades in Turkey. It is a great honor to join this important event, which we consider as another building block in the long-term comradely and sincere relationship and revolutionary solidarity between our parties. Therefore, we thank you once again for your invitation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Comrades, this event is taking place in the context of a war between imperialist camps. On the one side, Western imperialist forces who aim to preserve their hegemonic position within imperialism and on the other side, the Russian bourgeoisie, that is provoking nationalist hysteria, undermining the legacy of the Soviet Union and its achievements, and abusing \u201cantifascist struggle\u201d. This event is taking place in the context of barbarity in the 21st century, whose sole cause is the not-yet-overthrown capitalism. Who benefits from this war? Definitely not the working people. Definitely, not the ones who sacrifice! It is those who benefit from this war that want it to continue, maybe at a lower scale, but it doesn\u2019t matter. Who benefits most out of what happened in the past three months, has been the NATO, US and EU, gaining strength, credibility, and new excuses for greater expenses, new cheaper workforce to exploit.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n And comrades, this war, although currently limited to the geographical area of Ukraine, does bear the potential to spread and turn into a wider-scale, global war. If such developments happen, our countries will not be exempt from this. This is why, we should prepare ourselves to fight against the participation in such wider wars, explaining each and every day, tirelessly, why they are illegitimate and totally against the interests of the people. In this regard, today\u2019s event is an example of our persistence, and let us hope that a greater number of workers will better understand the games played out of their lives, in order to counteract these games.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Let us briefly remember. NATO was founded in 1949, spearheaded by the US government and the participation of Britain, Canada, France, Italy, Norway, \u0130celand, Portugal, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Denmark. In 1952, 70 years ago, Greece and Turkey joined it. Our soldiers, young people, whose lives were worth less than 23 cents for these, whose lives were lost in the Korean War had been the bribe of bourgeois governments to join this dirty association. In 1955 West Germany, and in 1982, Spain became members. NATO\u2019s function was to continue to job of Nazi fascists who couldn\u2019t succeed in bowing down the heads of brave working people during the Second Imperalist World War, but this time under a different cover, under the false facade of the so-called \u201cfree world\u201d. Despite sayings like protection or security, its real mission was to combat the will of the working class to establish equality and freedom in this world.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n NATO was founded as a military organization, but it would be a big mistake to think that it is limited to this aspect. For years, NATO has acted as a regulatory mechanism within the imperialist hierarchy, with ideological, political, cultural missions. The counterrevolutionary groups, Gladio structures, underground gangs especially targeted leftist oriented people, intellectuals, youth and workers, conducting barbaric crimes and getting away with them. NATO\u2019s founding base is anti-communism. We will never forget their crimes and fight until the day that they are punished. We will not forget the lawyers of Atocha, the bombings in Milan and Bologna, the crimes against the Greek people during the Civil War, nor the mass murders against patriotic intellectuals, socialist politicians of Turkey!<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n NATO has been nurtured by the roots of social rottenness in all member countries: Nationalism, chauvinism, violence, torture, misogyny, drug trafficking, plunder\u2026 All under the name of \u201csecurity\u201d \u201cspecial forces\u201d, \u201cirregular warfare\u201d and so forth. They were behind the coups and oppression. NATO is the biggest terrorist organization on the world\u2019s territory.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n While until 1990s, the aim of this alliance had been the encirclement the Soviet Union, after the downfall of the first workers\u2019 state, it turned its route towards more east, increasing the number of its members and expanding its sphere of influence. The first bloody outcome of this policy was the disintegration of Yugoslavia, escalating enmity between peoples who were living in peace together for years. The region is now subject to imperialism, socially and economically dominated by imperialist forces. In continuation, in the Middle East, Africa, Afghanistan, they pulled the triggers of wars and great damages, especially against countries who were not fully or partially complying with their greedy policies. Now they are trying to expand even more, competing with capitalist Russia and its allies. Let us keep in mind that imperialism is an order of competition, and contradictions between the forces that exhibit an uneven development, eventually end up in conflicts, may that be military or non-military. What we are observing is not unforeseen for those who study with Marxist-Leninist principles. The key is, of course, to study and to act against them!<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Dear comrades,<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Allow me to share with you that your efforts here also have their counterparts in Turkey. In the past weeks, we held anti imperialist events in different cities, together with the comradely participation of KKE leaders, disclosing the true interests of NATO, US and EU against the peoples. We also recently finalized a petition in the south region of the country, where the ominous \u0130ncirlik Air Base of the US forces is located. The Communist Youth of Turkey organized a protest march against the Base, despite police repression, voicing their demands for an independent and sovereign country and an equal future.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n We are against the presence of this US-Base in our country and the nuclear weapons it contains, which is a threat to the lives of the people of the region and the whole country, as well as the wider region. We are against the placement of all nuclear weapons, known or implicit, old and new. We do not want our soldiers to be sent to missions abroad, nor the soldiers of other countries in our territory. We want the young people who have been under arms in Albania, Kosova, Iraq Syria, Afghanistan and in many other missions abroad, in the name of \u201csecurity collaboration\u201d to withdraw and come back1 We do not want any military or other competition with brother peoples! We do not want our lands and seas to become lands and seas of war and blood!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Comrades,<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Despite some daily tactical moves and rapprochement with the Russia-China-Iran axis or creating superficial conflicts with EU and US with regards to the Eastern Mediterranean, Cyprus and Libya issues, the ruling AKP government has been a pro-Western, pro-American government since the beginning. It represents a continuum in the collaborative tendencies of the Turkish bourgeoisie as the outpost of imperialism in the region. Yet when we look at the other side of the political spectrum, and examine how the opposition reacts to these issues, we see that t<\/span>he social democrats in Turkey are defending NATO with even greater fervor, referring to this bloody alliance as the \u201cguarantee of democracy\u201d. Their allies, the nationalist reactionaries who are at the moment competing with Erdo\u011fan\u2019s policies, are making \u201cpromises of commitment\u201d to NATO.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n We know that the bourgeois parties do not have solid principles, nor they place their political programs in a fundamental place, but even if so, when you look at the programs of the parties in the parliament, you will see that all of them support the Euro-Atlantic line, and the integration of the country to NATO. Their seldom tactical moves or discourses against wars does not change this fact. NATO is, and can only be the guarantee of the dictatorship of the capital. NATO is the guarantee of the profits of monopolies. NATO is the guarantee of increasing rates of exploitation. And one cannot be patriotic and defend NATO membership at the same time! One cannot defend staying in NATO and objecting its policies simultaneously!<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n We are well aware of this hypocrisy. It is the same in each and every capitalist country, in Spain, in Turkey, in Greece, in Sweden, Britain or the US. We are seeing that social democrats are turning down their already little voices, if they have any, when it comes to the \u201cinternational politics\u201d, sending warships or air forces at the service of NATO. Especially if they are within or near the ruling circles\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n On the other side of the medallion, we see the reflection of the hypocrisy of bourgeois politics in Russia, with all its main pillars, anti-communism, nationalism, demagogy, distortion of the historic facts and lies.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n This is why, in such times where many illusions are fabricated, we have to stick with greater strength to our principles. We won\u2019t side with bourgeois forces, neither the seemingly more authoritative ones nor the more liberal ones. We won\u2019t choose between axes competing for dominance in the imperialist system. We won\u2019t let our history be denigrated.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Comrades,<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n I can clearly see, with your presence here, that the patriotic and revolutionary workers of Spain are against the presence of NATO forces in their country! Because \u201cit is their wars and our dead\u201d. It is their wars and our hunger, poverty, misery, forced displacement. It is their profits and our losses. We reject this injustice. We reject a bunch of rich capitalists to make decisions on the lives of millions. Struggle against NATO means struggle for peace, but also for bread.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Comrades,<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n We promise that w<\/span>e will continue organizing the working people of Turkey, warning against the growing danger and making every effort to counter the attack of imperialism against peoples, raising the banner of internationalism. We have no doubt that our comrades in Spain will make their best efforts in the same direction and our joint struggle will grow.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n We wish you success in your struggles!<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Long live the fraternal relationship between our parties!<\/span><\/p>\n Long live proletarian internationalism!<\/span><\/p>\n Long live revolution and socialism!<\/span><\/p>\n Estimados camaradas,<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Recordemos brevemente: La OTAN fue fundada en 1949, encabezada por el gobierno de Estados Unidos y la participaci\u00f3n de Reino Unido, Canad\u00e1, Francia, Italia, Noruega, Islandia, Portugal, B\u00e9lgica, Pa\u00edses Bajos, Luxemburgo y Dinamarca. En 1952, hace 70 a\u00f1os, se sumaron Grecia y Turqu\u00eda. La vida de nuestros j\u00f3venes, enviados como\u00a0 soldados a la guerra de Corea, por menos de 23 centavos cada uno, han servido como soborno para que nuestro pa\u00eds sea miembro de esta vil organizaci\u00f3n. En 1955 Alemania Occidental, y en 1982, Espa\u00f1a se convirtieron en miembros. La funci\u00f3n de la OTAN fue la de continuar el trabajo de los nazi-fascistas que no lograron agachar la cabeza de los valientes trabajadores durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial, pero esta vez bajo una cubierta diferente, bajo la falsa fachada del llamado “mundo libre”. A pesar de la utilizaci\u00f3n de palabrer\u00edas como protecci\u00f3n o seguridad, su verdadera misi\u00f3n era combatir la voluntad de la clase obrera de establecer la igualdad y la libertad en este mundo.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n La OTAN fue fundada como una organizaci\u00f3n militar, pero ser\u00eda un gran error pensar que se limita a este aspecto. Durante a\u00f1os, la OTAN ha actuado como un mecanismo regulador dentro de la jerarqu\u00eda imperialista, con misiones ideol\u00f3gicas, pol\u00edticas y culturales. Los grupos contrarrevolucionarios, las estructuras del Gladio. Estas bandas paramilitares atacaron especialmente a las personas cercanas al movimiento comunista, a los intelectuales, a los j\u00f3venes y a los trabajadores. Cometieron una barbaridad de viles cr\u00edmenes sali\u00e9ndose con la suya. La base fundacional de la OTAN es el anticomunismo. Nunca olvidaremos de sus cr\u00edmenes y lucharemos hasta el d\u00eda en que sean castigados. \u00a1No olvidaremos los abogados de Atocha, los bombardeos en Mil\u00e1n y Bolonia, los cr\u00edmenes contra el pueblo griego durante la Guerra Civil, ni los asesinatos en masa contra los intelectuales y pol\u00edticos patriotas, socialistas, comunistas de Turqu\u00eda!<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n La OTAN se ha nutrido de las ra\u00edces de la podredumbre social en todos los pa\u00edses miembros: Nacionalismo, chovinismo, violencia, tortura, misoginia, narcotr\u00e1fico, saqueo… Todo bajo el nombres como la “seguridad” “fuerzas especiales”, “guerra irregular” y dem\u00e1s. Est\u00e1n detr\u00e1s de los golpes de estado y la opresi\u00f3n. La OTAN es la mayor organizaci\u00f3n terrorista en el territorio mundial.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Mientras que hasta los a\u00f1os 90, el objetivo de esta alianza hab\u00eda sido asediar a la Uni\u00f3n Sovi\u00e9tica, tras la ca\u00edda del primer estado obrero, gir\u00f3 su ruta m\u00e1s hac\u00eda el este, aumentando el n\u00famero de sus miembros y ampliando su esfera de influencia. El primer resultado sangriento de esta pol\u00edtica fue la desintegraci\u00f3n de Yugoslavia, aumentando la enemistad entre pueblos que durante a\u00f1os hab\u00edan convivido en paz. La regi\u00f3n est\u00e1 ahora sometida al imperialismo, dominada social y econ\u00f3micamente por las fuerzas imperialistas. A continuaci\u00f3n, en Oriente Medio, en \u00c1frica, en Afganist\u00e1n, accionaron el gatillo de las guerras y de los grandes da\u00f1os, sobre todo contra los pa\u00edses que no se plegaban total o parcialmente a sus pol\u00edticas codiciosas. Ahora intentan expandirse a\u00fan m\u00e1s, compitiendo con la Rusia capitalista y sus aliados. Tengamos en cuenta que el imperialismo es un orden de competencia, y las contradicciones entre las fuerzas que exhiben un desarrollo desigual, eventualmente terminan en conflictos, ya sean militares o no militares. Lo que estamos observando no es imprevisible para quienes estudian con principios marxistas-leninistas. La clave es, por supuesto, \u00a1estudiar y actuar contra ellos!<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Estimados camaradas,<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Perm\u00edtanme compartir con ustedes que sus esfuerzos aqu\u00ed tambi\u00e9n tienen sus contrapartes en Turqu\u00eda. En las \u00faltimas semanas, hemos celebrado actos antiimperialistas en diferentes ciudades, junto con la participaci\u00f3n de camaradas dirigentes del KKE, revelando los verdaderos intereses de la OTAN, EEUU y la Uni\u00f3n Europea contra los pueblos. Tambi\u00e9n hemos finalizado recientemente un acto en el sur del pa\u00eds, donde se encuentra la ominosa base a\u00e9rea de \u0130ncirlik de las fuerzas estadounidenses. La Juventud Comunista de Turqu\u00eda organiz\u00f3 una marcha de protesta contra la Base, a pesar de la represi\u00f3n policial, expresando sus demandas de un pa\u00eds independiente y soberano y un futuro igualitario.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Estamos en contra de la presencia de esta Base de EEUU en nuestro pa\u00eds y de las armas nucleares que contiene, que es una amenaza para la vida de la gente de la zona y de todo el pa\u00eds, as\u00ed como de la regi\u00f3n en general. Estamos en contra del emplazamiento de todas las armas nucleares, conocidas o impl\u00edcitas, viejas y nuevas. No queremos que nuestros soldados sean enviados a misiones en el extranjero, ni los soldados de otros pa\u00edses en nuestro territorio. Queremos que los j\u00f3venes que han estado bajo las armas en Albania, Kosovo, Irak, Siria, Afganist\u00e1n y en muchas otras misiones en el extranjero, en nombre de la “colaboraci\u00f3n en materia de seguridad” se retiren y se vuelvan! \u00a1No queremos ninguna competici\u00f3n militar o de otro tipo con los pueblos hermanos! \u00a1No queremos que nuestras tierras y mares se conviertan en tierras y mares de guerra y sangre!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Camaradas,<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n A pesar de algunos movimientos t\u00e1cticos diarios y del acercamiento al eje Rusia-China-Ir\u00e1n o de la creaci\u00f3n de conflictos superficiales con la UE y los EEUU en relaci\u00f3n con las cuestiones del Mediterr\u00e1neo Oriental, Chipre y Libia, el gobierno del AKP ha sido un gobierno pro-occidental y pro-americano desde el principio. Representa una continuidad en las tendencias del colaboracionismo de la burgues\u00eda turca como puesto de avanzada del imperialismo en la regi\u00f3n. Sin embargo, cuando miramos al otro lado del espectro pol\u00edtico, y examinamos c\u00f3mo reacciona la oposici\u00f3n ante estas cuestiones, vemos que los socialdem\u00f3cratas de Turqu\u00eda defienden la OTAN con un fervor a\u00fan mayor, refiri\u00e9ndose a esta sangrienta alianza como la “garant\u00eda de la democracia”. Sus aliados, los reaccionarios nacionalistas que en este momento compiten contra la pol\u00edtica de Erdo\u011fan, hacen “promesas de compromiso” con la OTAN.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Sabemos que los partidos burgueses no tienen principios s\u00f3lidos, ni colocan sus programas pol\u00edticos en un lugar fundamental, pero aun as\u00ed, cuando se miran los programas de los partidos en el parlamento, se ve que todos apoyan la l\u00ednea euroatl\u00e1ntica, y la integraci\u00f3n del pa\u00eds a la OTAN. Sus raros movimientos t\u00e1cticos o discursos contra las guerras no cambian este hecho. La OTAN es y s\u00f3lo puede ser la garant\u00eda de la dictadura del capital. La OTAN es la garant\u00eda de los beneficios de los monopolios. La OTAN es la garant\u00eda de las crecientes tasas de explotaci\u00f3n. Y no se puede ser patriota y defender la permanencia en la OTAN al mismo tiempo. \u00a1No se puede, simult\u00e1neamente, defender la permanencia en la OTAN y oponerse a sus pol\u00edticas!<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Camaradas,<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n veo claramente, con vuestra presencia aqu\u00ed, que los trabajadores patriotas y revolucionarios de Espa\u00f1a est\u00e1n en contra de la presencia de las fuerzas de la OTAN en su pa\u00eds. Porque “son sus guerras y nuestros muertos”. Son sus guerras y nuestra hambre, nuestra pobreza, nuestra miseria, nuestros desplazamientos forzados. En resumen camaradas, son sus beneficios y nuestras p\u00e9rdidas. Rechazamos esta injusticia. Rechazamos que un grupo de capitalistas ricos tome decisiones sobre la vida de millones de personas. Es un gran honor formar parte de este importante acto, al que consideramos un bloque m\u00e1s de construcci\u00f3n en la relaci\u00f3n camaraderil y sincera a largo plazo y de la solidaridad revolucionaria entre nuestros partidos. Por lo tanto, os agradecemos una vez m\u00e1s vuestra invitaci\u00f3n.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/span>Camaradas, este acto tiene lugar en el contexto de una guerra inter-imperialista. Por un lado, las fuerzas imperialistas occidentales que pretenden preservar su posici\u00f3n hegem\u00f3nica dentro del imperialismo y, por otro lado, la burgues\u00eda rusa, que est\u00e1 provocando la histeria nacionalista, socavando el legado de la Uni\u00f3n Sovi\u00e9tica y sus logros, y abusando de la “lucha antifascista”. Este acontecimiento tiene lugar en el contexto de la barbarie del siglo XXI, cuya \u00fanica causa es que el capitalismo a\u00fan no est\u00e9 derrocado. \u00bfQui\u00e9n se beneficia de esta guerra? Definitivamente, no el pueblo trabajador. Definitivamente, \u00a1no los que se sacrifican! Los que se benefician de esta guerra son los que quieren que contin\u00fae, quiz\u00e1s a menor escala, pero que contin\u00fae. Quien m\u00e1s se beneficia de lo ocurrido en los \u00faltimos tres meses, han sido la OTAN, EEUU y la Union Europea, ganando fuerza, legitimidad, y nuevas excusas para mayores gastos, nueva mano de obra m\u00e1s barata que explotar.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/span>Y camaradas, esta guerra, aunque actualmente se limita a la zona geogr\u00e1fica de Ucrania, tiene el potencial de extenderse y convertirse en una guerra global a mayor escala. Si tales acontecimientos ocurren, nuestros pa\u00edses no estar\u00e1n exentos de ello. Por eso, debemos prepararnos para luchar contra la participaci\u00f3n en esas guerras m\u00e1s amplias, explicando cada d\u00eda, sin descanso, por qu\u00e9 son ileg\u00edtimas y totalmente contrarias a los intereses del pueblo. En este sentido, el acto de hoy es un ejemplo de nuestra persistencia, y esperemos que un mayor n\u00famero de trabajadores comprenda mejor los juegos que se juegan con sus vidas, para contrarrestarlos.<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/span>Somos muy conscientes de esta hipocres\u00eda. Es lo mismo en todos y cada uno de los pa\u00edses capitalistas, en Espa\u00f1a, en Turqu\u00eda, en Grecia, en Suecia, en el Reino Unido o en EEUU. Estamos viendo que los socialdem\u00f3cratas bajan su, ya bajoita, voz, si es que la tienen, cuando se trata de la “pol\u00edtica internacional”, enviando buques de guerra o fuerzas a\u00e9reas al servicio de la OTAN. Sobre todo si est\u00e1n dentro o cerca de los c\u00edrculos dirigentes…<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/span>En el otro lado del medall\u00f3n, vemos el reflejo de la hipocres\u00eda de la pol\u00edtica burguesa en Rusia, con todos sus pilares principales, el anticomunismo, el nacionalismo, la demagogia, la distorsi\u00f3n de los hechos hist\u00f3ricos y la mentira.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/span>Por eso, en estos tiempos en los que se fabrican muchas ilusiones, tenemos que aferrarnos con m\u00e1s fuerza a nuestros principios. No nos pondremos del lado de las fuerzas burguesas, ni de las aparentemente m\u00e1s autoritarias ni de las m\u00e1s liberales. No elegiremos entre los ejes que compiten por el dominio del sistema imperialista. No dejaremos que se denigre nuestra historia.<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/span>Camaradas,<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/span>Prometemos que seguiremos organizando al pueblo trabajador de Turqu\u00eda, advirtiendo del peligro creciente y haciendo todo lo posible para contrarrestar el ataque del imperialismo contra los pueblos, levantando la bandera del internacionalismo. No dudamos que nuestros camaradas en Espa\u00f1a har\u00e1n sus mejores esfuerzos en la misma direcci\u00f3n y nuestra lucha conjunta crecer\u00e1.<\/span><\/p>\n
