While Cuba was going through a tough period economically, the Cuban government was able to manage the pandemic according to the principles of socialism. All steps were taken according to the needs of the people, and not in the interests of drug monopolies, organizations of the bosses, and the capitalist class. A scientific and planned management was carried out at each stage.<\/p>\n
After exhibiting an exemplary fight against Covid-19 for months, continuing research on vaccines and drugs that will be beneficial not only for its people but also for the whole world, and offering three effective vaccines to the world, this small country is now taking new steps towards recovery. While the highest-level measures necessary to protect the public’s health are underway, the country is opening the way for economic development in a controlled manner. As of November 15th, Cuban children returned to schools, tourism activities started to resume in a planned manner, airports began to accept their first visitors again.<\/p>\n
These developments in a workers’ republic allow us to say that another world where humanity, not barbarism, prevails is possible. They are rekindling the hope for a bright future that the imperialists almost destroyed with the power of money, their lies, and weapons.<\/p>\n
This is exactly why the attacks of imperialists on Cuba are not ceasing! They are trying to bring Cuba to its knees with baseless rumors, counter-revolutionary agents that they feed with funds, and most notably with the blockade, which is a genocidal crime that has been carried out for sixty years. Who knows how many times they are attempting to threaten peace and security in Cuba!<\/p>\n
We are well-aware of such attacks. Cuba’s friends see perfectly well what is intended. We know that the goal of overthrowing Cuban socialism lies behind false demands such as “democracy” or “peaceful protest.\u201d<\/p>\n
They should also know that those who dare to cut Cuban people\u2019s resources do not have the right to say anything about this country.<\/p>\n
Those who try to give a wrong impression to the whole world about the country by publishing pirated statements on social media and the press, and those who think of interfering with Cuba’s sovereign rights will fail. The Cuban people will continue to defend socialism with enthusiasm, determination, and consciousness on the streets, just as they have done today. Just like today, the women and men, the children and elderly will shout out, \u201cI am Fidel!\u201d Their friends will also not stop for a moment to stay in solidarity with Cuba.<\/p>\n
