Teleconference of the Working Group of the International Meeting of the Communist and Workers\u2019 Parties The Working Group of the International Meeting of Communist and Workers\u2019 Parties (IMCWP) met on 5&6 November 2021. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, it decided to defer the 22nd\u00a0IMCWP for 2022.<\/p>\n \u00a0At the same time, taking into account the need to strengthen the exchange of experience, the discussion, and the joint activity of Communist and Workers\u2019 Parties, it decided to hold an extraordinary teleconference of the IMCWP on 10\u201311\u201312 December 2021, under the theme:\u00a0The international economic, political, and military developments. The experience from the struggle of the Communist and Workers’ Parties and the peoples. Solidarity with Cuba, the Palestinian people, and all the peoples struggling against sanctions, machinations, and imperialist aggression.<\/p>\n \u00a0\u00a0 It was also decided that the in-person meeting of the Working Group will take place until spring 2022, if permitted by epidemiological data and the relevant health protocols.<\/p>\n \u00a0\u00a0 The Parties which participated in the Working Group, on the occasion of the 104th anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution highlight its historical importance as an event that shook the world and laid the foundation for the revolutionary and progressive advances achieved by workers and peoples in the 20th century under its red banner, for the construction of a fair society.<\/p>\n \u00a0\u00a0 The Soviet Union \u2013 the first workers\u2019, socialist state in the world \u2013 managed in a historically short time to achieve unprecedented gains, gave impetus to the development of the international communist and workers\u2019 movement, had a decisive contribution to the defeat of fascism, and with other socialist countries, became a guarantor of peace, and contributed to the achievements won by workers in capitalist countries and to the successes of the national-liberation movements, and the collapse of colonialism.<\/p>\n \u00a0\u00a0 Taking into account analyzes already carried out by various parties, we bear the responsibility to research and draw the right conclusions about the causes and mistakes that led to the dissolution of the USSR, as well as the task to oppose the falsification of history and anti-communist lies. 24 parties of the Working group of IMCWP joint at a teleconference organized by KKE and TKP on 5&6 November.
