Fight against Imperialism for Peace!
Today is 1 September. We are commemorating another World Peace Day at a moment far away from peace. Our world, where capitalism reigns, continues to be condemned to wars instigated by imperialism.
The war in Ukraine, which is being waged in the interests of the Russian monopolies on the one hand, and fuelled by the provocations of the USA and its Western allies on the other, continues for a second year. This war still harbours the risk of engulfing a large region, including our country, in its own fire. In the Middle East, a region in the very neighbourhood of our country, conflicts caused by reactionary forces supported by imperialism, do continue. On the other hand, the daring steps taken by China in line with its own interests and the aggressive attacks of the USA are making the tension lines in the Asia-Pacific increasingly evident and dangerous.
Because of the hegemony crisis that imperialism has been going through for some time now, the US is finding it challenging to maintain its traditional position of supreme power and therefore feels the need to take on different forms of aggression.
NATO, the military organization of imperialism, continues to lead this aggression. NATO, which was founded in the years following the Second World War against the Soviet Union and the world socialist system led by it, has committed numerous crimes against humanity in various countries of the world, especially in Europe, over the past decades. While carrying out international military operations, NATO has also supported reactionary coups in many countries, including Turkey. The counter-guerrilla organizations, which were also established and nurtured in many countries such as Turkey upon the initiative of NATO, assumed the function of maintaining the rule of capitalism by attacking revolutionary forces, especially communists.
Today we cannot speak of a socialist system in the world. But NATO continues to make efforts to defend the interests of Western imperialism, to ensure that the imperialist system maintains its hegemony. Keeping in mind, of course, the goal of preventing the re-emergence of socialism in the world.
The world is in dire need of peace. Otherwise, humanity will continue to suffer from wars and the cruelty of imperialism. In order to achieve a real and lasting peace, the order of exploitation must be abolished and the world must be liberated from the scourge of capitalism.
Tasks such as pushing back imperialism and averting the danger of war cannot be neglected. However, knowing that capitalism must be defeated in order to achieve real peace, communists will not allow these tasks to overshadow the goal of revolution. Socialism, the new world that will put an end to the rule of the capital, capitalist rivalry and exploitation, will be our first stop on the road to peace.
