To the leadership of KKE
Dear comrades,
We extend our wishes of solidarity and sorrow for the losses of at least 15, due to the preventable impact of the floods that hit a large area in the country, since the 5th of September.
Just like the wildfires, earthquakes, and other natural events, that are unfortunately frequently observed in our region, such happenings are turned into grave disasters causing great damage and loss of lives in the chaos and paradoxes of capitalist management, that favours profit over people’s lives. We have had enough of these unpleasant experiences, yet we also know very well that the capitalist social order never drives lessons from any of these, burying the losses under the ground and continuing its shameless crimes. Indeed, those who lost their lives during the storm Daniel and floods caused by it are actually victims of the crimes of capitalism.
Instead of attacking the just protests of people, or making insincere complaints to the imperialist organizations, or channeling energy and budgets to the unnecessary military expenditures, the government immediately has to compensate for all the material losses. Peoples’ right to water, food, electricity, shelter, and health shall no longer be in the hands of a bunch of profit-seekers.
Our minds are with you comrades. We will continue our joint struggle until the day we overthrow this barbaric order of exploitation.
