On 30th of October, Turkey has been exposed to yet another disaster after the strong earthquake of a magnitude of up 7.0.
We have been calling out for years, “earthquakes are natural facts, which is not by nature is this irrational establishment which rules”. And once again we are experiencing the sad consequences of this irrational rule.
It is not science but capitalist market rules that decide how to govern this country. Our people are left alone with a new disaster every day. Unprotected and helpless…
Sending condolences is not enough. A struggle for the emancipation of beautiful İzmir, beautiful İstanbul, our beautiful country is needed.
We call on our people to be in solidarity with the people of Izmir, who were left alone in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic with psychological breakdown caused by the massive earthquake they experienced.
