To the leadership of Communist Party of Cuba
Dear Comrades,
We congratulate the leadership of the Communist Party of Cuba and the entire Cuban people on the overwhelming support for Cuba’s resolution once again at today’s UN General Assembly vote calling for an end to the genocidal US blockade. We salute the Cuban delegation, led by Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez, for its firm and resolute stance at the UN General Assembly. This defiant stand has once again set an example for all humanity and deserves the highest praise.
On this occasion, we strongly condemn the brutal US blockade of Cuba, carried out before the eyes of the world, condemned by the overwhelming majority of nations, and denounced by Cuba as an act of genocide.
Although this genocidal policy has yet to be brought to an end, the latest vote has once againshown the world that Cuba will never surrender its sovereignty and it has shown the United States and the world that, through its just struggle, Cuba will never allow any attempt to legitimize this genocidal policy to succeed.
It is obvious that the relative increase in votes against the resolution and abstentions compared with previous years is a consequence of US imperialism’s interference in the internal affairs of other countries, including its role in bringing pro-American governments to power and directing their policies. Yet this situation should not be regarded as permanent. Even in these countries, where reactionary pro-American governments are in power, millions of friends of Cuba continue to condemn US policies.
At the same time, the outcome of this latest vote has only strengthened our determination to deepen solidarity with Cuba and find more effective ways to tell the truth about Cuba and expose the genocidal US blockade. We assure you that the Communist Party of Turkey will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with Cuba in its struggle.

A la dirección del Partido Comunista de Cuba
Estimados camaradas:
Felicitamos a la dirección del Partido Comunista de Cuba y a todo el pueblo cubano por el apoyo abrumador que ha recibido, una vez más, la resolución presentada por Cuba en la votación celebrada hoy en la Asamblea General de las Naciones Unidas, en la que se exige el fin del bloqueo genocida impuesto por Estados Unidos. Saludamos a la delegación cubana, encabezada por el ministro de Relaciones Exteriores, Bruno Rodríguez, por su postura firme y decidida ante la Asamblea General de la ONU. Esta actitud de resistencia ha vuelto a dar un ejemplo a toda la humanidad y merece el mayor de los reconocimientos.
Aprovechamos esta ocasión para condenar enérgicamente el brutal bloqueo estadounidense contra Cuba, que se mantiene ante los ojos del mundo, pese al rechazo de la inmensa mayoría de los países, y que Cuba denuncia como un acto de genocidio.
Aunque todavía no se ha puesto fin a esta política genocida, la última votación ha vuelto a demostrar al mundo que Cuba jamás renunciará a su soberanía. También ha dejado claro, tanto a Estados Unidos como al resto del mundo, que Cuba, mediante su justa lucha, no permitirá que prospere ningún intento de legitimar esta política genocida.
Es evidente que el aumento relativo de los votos en contra de la resolución y de las abstenciones respecto a años anteriores es consecuencia de la injerencia del imperialismo estadounidense en los asuntos internos de otros países, incluida su intervención para llevar al poder a gobiernos proestadounidenses y dirigir sus políticas. Sin embargo, esta situación no debe considerarse permanente. Incluso en esos países, gobernados por fuerzas reaccionarias y proestadounidenses, millones de amigos de Cuba siguen condenando las políticas de Estados Unidos.
Al mismo tiempo, el resultado de esta última votación no ha hecho sino reforzar nuestra determinación de profundizar la solidaridad con Cuba y encontrar formas más eficaces de dar a conocer la verdad sobre Cuba y denunciar el bloqueo genocida estadounidense. Os aseguramos que el Partido Comunista de Turquía seguirá luchando hombro con hombro junto a Cuba.
