Dear comrades,
We salute the success of our sister party, the Communist Party of Greece, in the European elections.
While the election results point to the rise of the right in many parts of Europe, the success of the Greek communists is a hopeful example not only for Greece but for working people in all European countries.
The meaning of the KKE for the working class of Greece is of course much more than an electoral success. However, this electoral success of the KKE, which has continued its increase in votes in recent years and received 9.30% of the votes in the European elections, become another indication that the reactions against the bourgeois government have been transformed into a more permanent positioning against the capitalist system. This is a pleasing sign for each communist.
We wish success to our comrades Kostas Papadakis and Lefteris Nikolaou-Alavanos who will continue to be the voice of the working class in the European Parliament.
We sincerely congratulate all KKE militants and the Greek workers who voted for the KKE.
