NATO Pulls the Strings of Parliament
The Grand National Assembly of Turkey has made another shameful decision. The issue of Sweden’s membership to NATO was discussed in the General Assembly of the Parliament today and approved with a majority of votes. As it is known, after the start of the war in Ukraine, NATO’s attempt to gain new members in Northern Europe gained great momentum and the membership of Sweden and Finland was immediately on the agenda. As a result of an extremely fast process, Finland became a member of NATO and the Turkish Parliament was one of the parliaments that signed this historic decision in March 2023.
The AKP government dragged its feet on Sweden’s membership and tried to use this issue as a bargaining chip with imperialism on various issues, especially the purchase of F-16 fighter jets. The withdrawal of the “reservations” by the AKP and its main ally MHP shows not only that a certain progress has been made in these negotiations, but also that those who try to lull millions to sleep with the lie of “domestic and national” (how AKP government defined its power) have once again handed over the reins of the country to the imperialists.
After Finland, Sweden’s accession will lead to an increase and perpetuation of war and political tensions in the region, including our country. The US and Western imperialism in general want the tensions in the region to continue, even though they have not yet achieved the desired result. For this purpose, various initiatives, including the breach of the Montreux Treaty, have the potential to pose a major threat to peace in the region.
All these developments also pose a major threat to the security of our country. The government, which approved Sweden’s membership after Finland’s, has not only ensured that Turkey’s membership in NATO is once again registered, but is also becoming an accomplice of this war organization as part of imperialist politics.
However, NATO is only a terrorist organization. It poses a major security threat to the peoples of both member states and other countries. It has tried to guarantee the continuation of the capitalist system by using both direct war methods and counter-guerrilla tactics, and has not hesitated to do its best to silence the voices of the working people.
What is urgently needed is to get rid of NATO. The first step is for our country and other member countries to leave NATO. The Communist Party of Turkey will continue to stand behind its claim on this issue. Because NATO will only bring war, blood and suffering to humanity.
As we shouted today in front of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, which signed this shameful decision, we promise, we will kick NATO out of our country!

НАТО держит в руках рычаги Парламента!
Великое Национальное Собрание Турции вновь приняло позорное решение. Членство Швеции в НАТО было рассмотрено на генеральной ассамблее парламента и было принято большинством голосов. Известно, что с началом российско-украинской войны экспансия НАТО на север Европы ускорился, и членство Швеции и Финляндии было поставлено на повестку дня. В результате этого процесса Финляндия стала членом НАТО, ВНСТ было одним из парламентов, давших свое согласие на это в марте 2023 г.
Правительство ПСР тянуло с членством Швеции, пользовалось этим вопросом как предлог для торга с империализмом, в основном для покупки истребителей F-16. Отход от «сомнений» ПСР и ее главной союзницы Партии Националистического Движения не является показателем того, что в этом торге было что-то достигнуто, напротив этот факт показывает как те, кто обманывает миллионы своей националистической демагогией опять сдали узды страны империалистам.
Принятие членства Финляндии, а затем Швеции станет причиной эскалации конфликтов, частью которых является и наша страна, и постоянных политических конфликтов. США, и Западный империализм в целом, хотя и не получили пока желаемых результатов, желают продолжения напряжения в регионе. Для этого они готовы на многие меры, включая нарушение договора Монтрё, которые понесут большую угрозу для мира в нашем регионе.
Все эти развития событий несут опасность и для нашей страны. Правительство, дав свое согласие на членства Швеции и Финляндии, не только вновь пытается показать себя, в качестве верного члена Альянса, но и стремится сыграть роль пособника преступлений этой военной организации.
НАТО – это всего лишь террористическая организация. Она является большой угрозой для безопасности, как для стран-членов, так и для народов других стран. НАТО, путем прямых военных действий или тактик контр герильи стремилось гарантировать будущее капиталистической системы, принимало любые меры для подавления голоса рабочих.
Избавление от НАТО – вот наша срочная задача. Первый шаг – выход нашей страны и других стран-членов из НАТО. Коммунистическая партия Турции будет продолжать отстаивать свои позиции по этому вопросу. Потому что НАТО несет человечеству только войну, кровопролитие и страдания.
Как мы заявили перед Великим Национальным Собранием Турции, которое сегодня подписало это позорное решение, мы обещаем, что выдворим НАТО из нашей страны!
