To the leadership of KKE

Dear comrades,
We warmly welcome the consistent success of the Communist Party of Greece reflected in the results of the local elections.
The vote of the KKE, which exceeded 10% throughout Greece, is an indication of the growing confidence in the KKE and the acceleration of the break of the Greek working people from the capitalist system and the bourgeois parties that perpetuate its interests.
Comrades, as communists, we advocate an egalitarian system which is based on centralised state planning, and which can only be fully realised through centralised mobilisation of resources. Nevertheless, in contrast to the rent-seeking understanding of local governments offered by this social system, the communists’ municipal practices offer a tremendous example of how services for the basic needs of the people can be provided in an equal and affordable manner.
We are proud that the Communist Party of Greece will build on these examples. We congratulate all the workers who contributed to this success by voting for the People’s Rallying, under which ballot name KKE participated in the elections, and we wish success to the communist representatives elected to local governments and to the communist candidates who will continue the struggle in the second round.
