Our people should take care of their own business!

Currently it is not possible to foresee how the proposal submitted to the Constitutional Court to ban AKP (The Justice and Development Party) would influence the political arena in Turkey. In a time where the proposal would get stuck in the process, it is possible that AKP could even grow stronger. However, no matter what its consequences are, we leave it to liberal leftists to shed tears for AKP. Yet, this is a legal process; Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) is exerting efforts to mobilize the working class, which is the unique power that could stop AKP and its mentality. In fact, banning AKP does not make sense in itself; the important thing for people is to stop marketism, Americanism, and reactionism. If the working class, who has taken to the streets to demand its rights, places its weight on politics, then it will be the end of story for AKP and its alikes. When there is no such weight, the struggle among the very institutions of the system will always create consequences to the detriment of the working class. Therefore, our patriotic people who have started to make their voices heard in their demonstrations and protests by saying "We don't want AKP" should not be overcome by languor because of the proposal to ban AKP.

It is also a scandal that the President of the Republic Gul stated "Everybody should seriously think about the consequences" in regard to the proposal. And we are saying that everybody should seriously think about the consequences of the AKP government for Turkey!
